If you have income and a decent credit report, you could probably take out a personal loan.

If you get a doctors statement saying that the scooter is prescribed, you may be able to go back to the insurance and get it covered.

Otherwise, I would suggest you contact some of the charities in your area, Salvation Army, United Way, etc., and find out if they know of any programs that could help.

First, check with your city’s or county’s departments for the disabled, they might know a place locally.

If your car already has a 2 inch reciever hitch for towing a trailer, you can get a lightweight aluminum platform from Harbor Freight that’s big enough for most mobility scooters and they also have loading ramps for them.

Harbor Freight has very low prices and you can buy online if there isn’t one near you.
